It's a priviledge and great honour to pay tribute to Papa John Emeruwa. He was a good soldier of His master,Lord and Saviour of His life, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was such a good labourer in the vineyard of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I knew him in his 60's around 1988. Papa Emeruwa was simple and loving with a simple smile all the time to show his approachability even to the pooint of death. There were so many things to write or say about Papa Emeruwa among many: He was Punctual to meetings (snow, rain or sunshine), reliable, dependable, honest, loyal and faithful. There is a song titled "Only remembered by what we have done" In his faithfulness to His Lord and Master Jesus Christ, there was one event I will never forget. This happened just after his immediate family threw a surprised 70th birthday for him. The Church organised a crusade and we were to do what is called prayer chain which involved prayer-walk night vigil. Papa was part of that group. At 70, he always come on time, you don't have to wait for him, so energetic and we did that for one week, that really threw me and I know that he can always be counted on. Papa's passion all the time is to get people especially his family member to know His loving saviour Jesus Christ, this he quest and laboured for till the day he was taken to glory after a time of illness though recovered briefly with full strength spirituallt still evangelising serving His master.
